The Vortex Energy Saver is a unique and revolutionary device which removes the entrained air and dissolved oxygen from within a heating system (only leaving around 0.2 parts per million). By nature air bubbles in the heating system are lazy and lethargic, and so they reduce heat transfer efficiency. As a result of removing the entrained air and dissolved oxygen, the heating system will become more efficient giving better energy usage, heat transfer and hot water regeneration, and delivering higher radiator temperatures.

The Vortex Energy Saver also eliminates the formation of magnetites. Magnetites cause corrosion which in turn makes the system work inefficiently, as well as shortening the life of radiators, pumps, boilers and valves.

The Vortex Energy Saver is easy to install with only two connections and can be fitted to any type of wet heating system including all types of condensing, non-condensing, oil, gas and combination boilers.

HOW DOES THE VORTEX ENERGY SAVER WORK?

The Vortex Energy Saver, by virtue of its design, works in a very simple way through phenomena created by the circulating pump.

As the water from the heating system enters the Vortex Energy Saver the action of the pump causes the water to spin into a vortex. In the middle of the vortex there is a low pressure zone which is sufficient to draw the entrained air and dissolved oxygen from the solution.

As the water reaches the outlet, the action of the vortex increases and the bubbles of air, now out of the solution, rise upwards and are collected through a dip tube to be released from the system through an air vent.

The Vortex Energy Saver comes in a standard pipe connection size of 28mm. However, the 28mm can be adapted to accommodate 22mm pipe work.

Applications include: all types of normal domestic heating systems and small commercial heating systems as well as heat pump and biomass installations.
